To create a bootable USB for Windows 11, you can follow these steps
- First, make sure you have a USB flash drive with at least 8GB of storage.
- Download the Windows 11 ISO file from the official website or any trusted source.
- Insert the USB flash drive into your computer.
- Open the ‘Start’ menu and search for “Create and format hard disk partitions” or “Disk Management” and open the utility.
- Locate your USB drive in the list of disks and make a note of its disk number.
- Open the Command Prompt as an administrator. You can do this by right-clicking on the Start menu and selecting “Command Prompt (Admin)”.
- In the Command Prompt, type “diskpart” and hit Enter. This will open the disk partitioning tool.
- Type “list disk” and hit Enter to see the list of disks. Identify your USB drive based on its disk number.
- Type “select disk X” (replace X with the disk number of your USB drive) and hit Enter.
- Type “clean” and hit Enter to remove any existing partitions on the USB drive.
- Type “create partition primary” and hit Enter to create a new primary partition.
- Type “format fs=ntfs quick” and hit Enter to format the partition with the NTFS file system.
- Type “active” and hit Enter to make the partition active.
- Type “assign” and hit Enter to assign a drive letter to the partition.
- Once the USB drive is formatted and prepared, you can close the Command Prompt.
- Now, mount the Windows 11 ISO file by double-clicking on it.
- Copy all the contents of the mounted ISO file to the USB drive.
- Safely eject the USB drive from your computer.
Your bootable USB drive for Windows 11 is now ready. You can use it to install Windows 11 on any compatible computer by booting from the USB drive.
